HISTORY (read...)
San Joaquin became a Parish on January 14, 1973 when Rev. Fr. Jaime Segun was installed as the Parish Priest by Decree of Bishop Salvador. It had four barangays: Salvacion, Cogon, Cabarasan Guti and Cabarasan Daku.
With the Approval of Archbishop Pedro Dean in the year 1997, nine barangays were added from the Parish of the Assumption of our Lady, Tanauan. The restored and expanded parish of San Joaquin was canonically erected on June 4, 1997.
