Dear Rev. Monsignori and Fathers:
Greetings of Peace from the Risen Christ!
“Family Love: A Vocation and a Path to Holiness.”
The theme chosen by the Holy Father for the X World Meeting of Families in Rome on June 22-26, 2022. The week-long celebration is physically hosted by the Diocese of Rome, but will be multi-centered and spread out throughout the world’s Catholic dioceses. The X World Meeting of Families is part of the current Synodal Journey of the Church and will provide a valuable experience of “participation, communion and mission” for our families. The Holy Father has asked the dioceses, parishes and families around the world be given the opportunities to be part of the journey through events held locally.
With this being said, the good Archbishop has given a directive that the opening of the X World Meeting of Families on June 22, 2022 be celebrated simultaneously in all Vacariates of the Archdiocese that will be participated by all priests, Vicariate and Parish Family and Life Workers, Catechists and Lay Faithful. A half day program of activities is given for consideration in the vicariate. For further details you may contact the Chairman of the Commission of the Family and Life Apostolate, Fr. 8:00 – 9:00 Arrival and Registration
9:00 – 10:00 Catechism to be delivered by a priest on the theme:
“Family Love: A Vocation and Path to Holiness”
10:00 – 10:30 Open Forum 10:30 Eucharistic Celebration Commissioning of Vicariate and Parish
Episcopal Commission on Family and Life Workers.
