The Archdiocese of Palo marked its 80th Anniversary as a Diocese with the ordination of 3 deacons to the Priesthood. Three young men were installed to the order of Presbyterate thru the imposition of hands by His Excellency, Most Rev. John F. Du, Archbishop of Palo at the Palo Metropolitan Cathedral. The new priests of the Archdiocese are: Rev. Fr. Mikhail Pore Cabangisan (St. Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist Parish, Jaro, Leyte), Rev. Fr. Bert David Conception Carillo (Sto. Niño Parish, Tacloban City), and Rev. Fr. Ryan Janelle Acebedo Salvacion (St. Joachim Parish, San Joquin, Palo, Leyte)

It was November 28, 1937 when the Diocese of Palo was created by His Holiness Pope Pius XI through the Apostolic Constitution “Si qua in orbe.” Most Rev. Manuel Mascariñas of Bohol was appointed as the first bishop of Palo.

With the addition of three priests to the presbyterium of Palo also comes the new assignment of priests effective December 9, 2018:
