Our Lady of Hope Mission Area – New Cawayan, Tacloban City

Our Lady of Hope of Palo was established as a response of love of the Archdiocese of Palo to the pastoral and spiritual need of the Catholic faithful of the Northern part of the City of Tacloban. Last May 11, 2017, the Archbishop of Palo, The Most Rev. John F. Du, D.D. sent two of his new priests (Rev. Fr. Angelo Nikko O. Brosas and Rev. Fr. Goldie Kenn A. Zabala) to start the mission and few months later, assigned Fr. Alfie Edward A. Protesta to join the team. The Mission Area serves the different relocation sites constructed for all the survivors of the super typhoon Yolanda. May 8 2017, A Day of Remembrance for all those who perished during the super typhoon Yolanda, the Archbishop celebrated its first fiesta entrusting the whole mission under the intercession of Our Lady of Hope of Palo.
