The Canonical Erection of St. Roch Mission Station was officially erected by his Excellency Most Rev. Pedro Dean, Archbishop of Palo, last August 24, 1996, upon the recommendation of Rev. Fr. Albert Opiniano, the Parish Priest of St. Joseph Parish, Dagami, Leyte. It was given under the care of the first Mission Priests, Rev. Fr. James Jubal Meneses and Rev. Fr. Ronel Taboso. In the subsequent years, it was under the care of the following mission priests: Rev. Fr. Dennis Molabola & Rev. Fr. Rey Caraballa (1998-2000); Rev. Fr. Romeo Barcelo (2000-2003); Rev. Fr. Romeo Gomez (2003-2004); Rev. Fr. Louie Endriano (2004-2005); Rev. Fr. Ric Marpa (2007-2010); Rev. Fr. Erby Davy Lajara (2010-2015); and Rev. Fr. Samie Malasaga (2015-2018).
Under the Administration of Rev. Fr. Noel Lao, the incumbent Mission Priest, in concurrence of the Parish Priest of St. Joseph Parish, Dagami, Leyte Rev. Fr. Raymond L. Calubid and upon the recommendation of the Priests of the Vicariate of Burauen, the St. Roch Mission Station is formally elevated to the dignity of a Parish on this 29th day of October in the year of our Lord 2019, by Excellency Most Rev. John F. Du, Archbishop of Palo.
