Palo, Leyte – On Thursday, 6th January 2023, Archbishop John Forrosuelo Du, D.D., on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his Episcopal Ordination, celebrated a thanksgiving mass at St. John the Evangelist School of Theology.

Present at the said event were Bishop Rex C. Ramirez – Bishop of Naval, Bishop Oscar Jaime Florencio – Bishop of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines, Bishop Filomeno Bactol – Bishop Emeritus of Naval, Archbishop Pedro Dean – Archbishop Emeritus of Palo, Clergy of the Archdiocese of Palo, Religious Sisters, Seminarians, and some visitors.

As he continues to commemorate his silver anniversary with unwavering tenacity, the Archbishop expresses his gratitude to the Lord for this tremendous blessing. He also used this unique occasion to convey his profound gratitude to everyone who loved, mentored, supported, and prayed for him in exchange for the gift of the vocation he accepted. Additionally, Archbishop Du urged his fellow priests to help those in need, emphasizing that by giving and by being kind, we can brighten someone else’s heart.

Archbishop Du received the fullness of priesthood from the hands of His Eminence, the late Ricardo Cardinal Vidal, his Principal Consecrator, on January 6, 1998, at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.

Archbishop Du requested Archbishop Dean to vest him with the pallium, in memory of the late Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, on the occasion of his thanksgiving mass and his 25th Anniversary of receiving the Episcopal Ordination.

The celebrant offered gifts to his fellow priests and religious before the affair ended.
