The Archdiocese of Palo announces with deep sorrow the passing of Father OSCAR Gomez-Lorenzo, a beloved member of our clergy. Father Lorenzo dedicated his life to serving the Archdiocese. He was also responsible for the formation of future priests as he spent some years in the seminary both in Palo and Calbayog.
Fr. Lorenzo is from Tacloban City. Born to Sofronio Lorenzo and Celestina Gomez on November 18, 1938. He entered the Sacred Heart Seminary in 1952. He was ordained a priest on December 21, 1963. In 2022, he was assigned as Resident Priest at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Sto. Niño until his demise.

As we mourn this profound loss of “Lolo Padre” – as he is fondly called; we invite all parish members and clergy to come together in prayer, remembering the legacy of love and faith that Father Lorenzo leaves behind.
