Fr. Al Cris M. Badana participated by the Cathedral Rector Msgr. Gilbert Urbina, the Parish Pastoral Council Members, Parish Social Action And Youth Ministry, RADNET 5, Caritas Palo staff and others who facilitated the activity together with the beneficiaries of this community pantry. The said activity is in line with CBCP-NASSA/Caritas Philippines initiative as one of the Catholic Church’s Covid response in this time of pandemic.

The Caritas Kindness Station has already been started in many other parishes in the Archdiocese namely St. Josemaria Escríva Mission Station, St. Joachim Parish, Sto. Niño Parish among others. His Excellency Most. Rev. John F. Du, D.D.  Archbishop of Palo encourages  the rest of the parishes and mission station to replicate the initiative with the slogan “Grasya han at’ Magtaralwas, ha at’ kabugtuan ipaangabit para ira kalag ug lawas” (Our Saviors’ blessing shared, for the salvation of our brethren  both body and soul) as timely response in this time of pandemic and at the same time in the occasion of the 500th year’s celebration of Christianity in the country with the theme “Gifted to Give.”

Caritas Palo/Commission on Social Action is so grateful, for this initiative is nonetheless be with no success without the help of our own parishioners, families, and individuals who generously shared their blessings, our volunteers in the preparation and distribution, and everyone who in one way or another have supported and will support this parish activity.
