Vicariates in the Archdiocese of Palo simultaneously held the formal closing of the Year of the Clergy and Consecreated Persons (YCCP) and offcially opening the Year of the Youth. As the new Liturgical Year ends and another year welcomed, the Pastoral Action Secretariat of the Archdiocese proposed that these two functions be done in the Vicariate Level on December 1. Priests, Consecrated Persons, and the Youth had chosen one Barangay within their respective Viacriates where these activities were held. Celebration of the Sacraments were ministered by the Clergy while the Consecrated Persons headed some activites like catechism classes. Meanwhile, members of the Youth Ministry also had their program which included house visitations, gift giving, and a showcase of talents. All these for a meaningful activity and the peoples enjoyment. The Archdiocese is convinced that doing the closing of the YCCP and opening the Year of the Youth in this manner will create lasting memories on the hearts and minds of the faithful who would seldom see groups of priests, nuns, and young ministers in action in their small rural communities.
