PALO, LEYTE. On the feast of St. John – Apostle and Evangelist, the people of the Archdiocese of Palo are yet again gathered at our Lord’s table of plenty to be one in prayer for the Ordination of 6 young and humble men.
“You will now receive a gift that is given not only for your own sake but to likewise is shared to the people you serve”, a loose quote taken from the homily of the Archbishop of Palo, Most. Rev. John F. Du, who administered the Ordination/Eucharistic Celebration in the Palo Metropolitan Cathedral.
In this yuletide season, the season of giving, these 6 young men namely Frs. John Andrew D. Avila, Jan Erik B. Montejo, Jhune Anthony R. Perez, Jasper Dale A. Rellesiva, Gerardo Jose Y. San Gabriel, John Hyon-Seop Kim, are precious new gifts to the archdiocese who will join the chosen servants in the vineyard of our Lord through their ministerial service. Equipped with the lessons gained from years of formation, as well as inspiration from their ever-supportive Parents, Parish Priests, Benefactors, and formators who had a hand in molding them in all the aspects leading up to the priesthood, they begin to tread on the path Jesus left to his beloved disciples.
