MANILA – Contingency plans have been prepared in case Leyte experiences a rainy weather when Pope Francis visits the province on Saturday, a church official said.
Pope Francis’ visit to Tacloban City and Palo in Leyte will be the “centerpiece” of his five-day visit to the Philippines, Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas said in a forum Monday.
Our nation is honored to welcome His Holiness Pope Francis as he joins the Filipino people for an apostolic visit. This is a momentous occasion for us. We shall be in the presence of the Vicar of Christ, a man who leads the Catholic Church along the path of mercy and compassion.
